History
Bonaventura Maschio’s distilling heritage began in the late 19th century in Cismon del Grappa, where the Maschio family cultivated land and produced grappa using a portable still. Antonio Maschio later founded the company near the River Piave, and his grandson Bonaventura developed it into a professional distillery in the early 20th century.
In the late 1980s, Italo Maschio introduced Prime Uve, a grape-based spirit that marked an important new chapter for the family. Today, the company continues across five generations, guided by craftsmanship, innovation, and a deep commitment to quality.
The Vineyards
Bonaventura Maschio is based in Gaiarine, in northeastern Italy, between the River Piave and the River Tagliamento. The area is known for its gentle vineyard landscapes and its position near important cultural centres including Venice, Padua, Verona, Trieste, Austria, and Slovenia.
