Description: It is produced using a precise, highly fragmented multi-stage artisanal method focused on natural flavour extraction. The brand strictly avoids using artificial colours, dyes, or chemical flavourings, meaning the intense profile relies entirely on traditional processing. The gin is created through the following specific stages:

Base Distillation Juniper Extraction: The foundation of the gin is a delicate, clean juniper distillate. The Process: High-quality Italian juniper berries are macerated and infused in pure neutral grain/cereal alcohol. This mixture is distilled to create the base aromatic spirit. Flavouring & Herb Infusion

Fragmented Extractions: To extract the full aromatic spectrum of the fresh Italian basil, the producer splits the flavouring phase into distinct fractions.

Bain-Marie Extraction: A portion of the fresh basil undergoes aromatic extraction using a water-bath (bain-marie) method. This gentle, indirect heating method pulls out the bright, fragile volatile essential oils of the basil without scorching the leaves.

Direct Alcohol Infusion: Another portion of the basil leaves is steeped directly in pure ethyl alcohol for several days to draw out the deeper, savoury, and herbaceous botanical notes.

Blending: The separate extracted fractions are carefully measured and blended into the base juniper distillate to achieve the final balanced profile.

Manual Sieving: Unlike large commercial distilleries that use forced mechanical filtration, 400 Conigli utilizes an entirely manual gravity filtration process.

Material: The liquid is allowed to slowly pass by its own weight through custom-designed conical linen and cotton sieves.

Preserving Organoleptic: This slow approach prevents stripping the gin of its heavy, aromatic essential oils, ensuring that the natural taste and aroma of the fresh basil remain intact in the bottle.

Tasting Notes: Intense nose of freshly picked basil with a warm, soft palate that transitions into a crisp, herbaceous, and dynamic finish.
